Time to kick back and Unwind! Welcome to our Summer issue. In this issue we discuss the summer time energy and how to keep you cool and balanced. In addition, we introduce you to the Thai style of massage that is great for relaxation and detoxification. There is some helpful information and tips for you soon-to-be mothers as well. In place of the meditation corner we have an article on the importance of being present. Our featured yoga pose for this season is a supported forward bend that is great for calming the mind. Mango Lassi

This traditional south Asian drink is cooling and good for digestion.

It is similar to a smoothie made with yogurt.

 

1 Ripe mango peeled, pitted and chopped into small pieces

¾ cup cold water

1 cup plain yogurt

2-3 tbsp of sugar or honey to taste

Dash of ground cardamom

Dash of saffron

8 ice cubes

 

Combine all ingredients except ice in a blender and blend until smooth. Add the ice and blend until frothy. Enjoy immediately.
